Installing Bluetooth Remote Control

Requirements

Server Side

• Windows XP SP1/Linux with bluez >= 3.0
• Java SE 1.5 or grater
• Bluetooth adapter compatible with Microsoft Bluetooth stuck/Linux bluez libraries

Mobile Phone

• A mobile phone with support of the Bluetooth API - JSR 82 (no need to support OBEX)

Installation

• Download the zip file from the project web site and unzip it.
• Put the folder named Server on the computer you want to control. There is no need for extra installation process for the server part
• Inside the folder named Client there is a jar file named RemoteClient.jar . Install this file in your mobile phone. For Nokia mobile phones this can be done by using Nokia PC Suite, for Sony Ericsson - and probably for other brand of phones - this can be done by sending the file to the mobile phone using Bluetooth.
